The principal components of this star system are the stars 'MDC277.A' and 'MDC277.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'MDC277.A' is a red supergiant class star that contains about 84% of the system's known mass, 'MDC277.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 15% of the system's known mass.
