Planet Isku.1 in system Isku (VJJ691)

Isku.1

Somewhere beneath the swirling, poisonous clouds of this remote planet rests the shattered hulk of the Ale-Turan Fleet Cruiser, Vengeance. Last seen leaving Gamma Base over four hundred years ago on a pirate hunting expedition from which she never returned. Over the centuries a number of fanciful stories have surrounded the final fate of Vengeance and it's ill fated crew of 800 souls.

Many explanations have been suggested. Mutiny or perhaps a squadron of exceptionally well trained pirates. Historians suggest that the simplest explanation seems to be an early encounter with the Mananians, but other stories linger in the ports and orbital quays of Ale-Solaris. Stories of a grisly and unnerving end for the ship, told in hushed whispers by old spacers. Dark hints of things lying outside of charted space, entities best left where they lie. Half understood legends passed from Grandfathers or Great Uncles who once met an Outer Rim Privateer in a tavern on Cignuriat, or in a prison ship on the Spice Trail, who they said had the look of the old breed which is long since gone out of the Galaxy.
